FACULTY & CLASSES LIST
Classes will be held daily, Sunday through Friday. The Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday classes will be held from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m.

The Tuesday and Friday classes will be in the morning only, 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Your class selection can be ONE 5-day class from Class Code Section A, or TWO 2.5-day classes, one from Class Code Section B and one from Class Code Section C.

You may also choose to register for only one 2.5-day class.

All classes have been listed with skill levels using the SKILL LEVELS guidelines below.

Some classes are designed to incorporate more than one skill level. Some classes have NO calligraphic skill requirements. Many classes are designed for ALL skill levels where your previous experience is not a criterion. You are encouraged to pick classes in your skill level so that instructors may pace their teaching accordingly, and you will feel comfortable in the classroom environment.

We want you to have a successful and rewarding week of learning at Celebration. If you have questions as to placement and appropriateness for your skill level, please contact Harvest Crittenden, Faculty Co-Chair at Harvest@acornarts.org

SKILL LEVELS:

  • Beginner - A person with little experience lettering but enthusiastic about learning letterforms and about the tools used.

  • Intermediate - A person who has an understanding of more than one hand, uses a variety of writing tools, has explored the use of color and is comfortable in using basic design and layout skills.

  • Experienced - A person who has a broad understanding of hands, use of tools, color and design concepts and is capable of independent study following initial instruction.

    TUTORIALS
Celebration is offering participants the opportunity to pre-schedule a tutorial session with the faculty listed below. Each twenty-five minute session will allow individual students to interact with the chosen instructor(s), ask about your work, or about a specific subject in which the faculty member has expertise. It is important that you BRING RECENT WORK WITH YOU to show and discuss during your session! Sign up for tutorials on your registration form. Sessions will be scheduled between 5:15 p.m.-6:45 p.m. Sunday through Thursday with the exception of Tuesday. Cost is $25 per 25-minute session. Persons requesting a tutorial will be notified of the date, time and location.
